Marvel Cinematic Universe architect, Kevin Feige, teases what lies ahead in Phase 4 with Shang-Chi, Eternals, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

MCU mastermind, Kevin Feige, teases what to expect from the rest of Phase 4. It took a little bit of time before the franchise restarted after the Infinity Saga due to the coronavirus pandemic. So far, there have already been three Disney+ shows in WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki, and one movie in Black Widow.

But, Marvel Studios is just starting with Phase 4. There’s still a string of movies and series slated to roll out. For the rest of 2021, there are three films and at least one show on the docket which will keep Feige and his team very busy. Aside from that, there are also several projects in various levels of production, with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever having just kicked off production while Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder are currently in post-production.

Feige and most of the people in Marvel Studios are usually mum about their upcoming slate, but in a new video with Rotten Tomatoes, the producer sits down and previews what else is coming for the rest of Phase 4. That includes insights into how they kickstarted production for Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings and Eternals, as well as, how they’re handling expanding the universe. Watch the full video below:

In his years leading Marvel Studios, Feige has mastered the art of not revealing any spoiler details in his many press appearances, and he did just that in the aforementioned clip. This doesn’t mean, however, that the clip is no longer interesting; there are some intriguing bits in it, including the producer’s explanation on how they plan to sustain the MCU for the foreseeable future. Feige once again points to the comic books as an inspiration, citing that in the 70 years of Marvel Comics, stories of various scopes have been told, and he’s confident that they will be able to translate that onto either the big or small screen. The MCU architect particularly named Loki as a project that tackles a bigger narrative while also dealing with a personal story.

Overall, it seems like Feige has a good idea of where he wants to bring the MCU going forward. So far, Phase 4 has a confirmed slate, with other projects expected to fall into Phase 5 such as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Blade. Plot specifics are still scant at the moment with regard to upcoming stories and the new overall story that Marvel Studios is building, and Marvel Studios doesn’t appear to be willing to divulge spoilers at the moment. Considering what they have built, however, in the last several years, it’s best to trust Feige and his team to deliver.
